Summit Reserve Club Appreciation Dinner |
Once a year Columbia Crest
Winery in Paterson Washington invites all, there Summit Reserve Club wine members to an appreciation
dinner. Having missed the event last year, we decided to make the road trip
this year. Nothing like a free event (460 miles round trip and a hotel room
LOL).
Our plan was to stay in
Prosser and take the bus to Columbia Crest. Columbia Crest charted a bus for those who
wanted the service. The bus picked us up at five o'clock we got there in time
for the start of the event at 5:30.
The weather was wonderful,
the staff was attentive. The music was fun and the grounds were beautiful as
always.

When we arrived the party
was in full swing. Having started over a half hour earlier than scheduled. They
were already starting to run low on wine and some of the foods.

Sol Food Bar & Grill
use to be called Marimba's. Per the internet it has not changed much with the
name change.
It’s a all brick interior with wood floors and pictures of beaches and
sunsets on the wall and a outdoor patio in the back. Love the patio, wish it
was warmer the day we ate there, would have like to stay on the patio.
The food is Latin American inspired. Cuban Sandwich was delicious! Food and
drinks are well priced. Drink and entree specials each day written on the
chalkboard.
The staff (one person?) did a great job. It can be hit or miss if the food
comes out right away or takes 20 minutes, but the was food well prepared worth
the small wait, after all who’s in a hurry in Latin American.
