Rotari Arte Italiana Talento Brut** dry on the palate, nicely balance
Drappier Carte d'Or Brut Champagne*** a blend of 80 to 90% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier and 5 to 15% Chardonnay. Aromas of stone, hint of spice, a lovely champagne.
Wente 2008 Riva Ranch Chardonnay*** light floral, butter and vanilla
Gravity Hills 2006 Vertigo Chenin Blanc/Riesling** off dry, melons
Paul Dolan 2006 Pinot Noir** berries, toasted oak, finish with the taste of inter tube
Axis Zinfandel*** :-) jam flavors, smooth
Calistoga Cellars 2005 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon*** chocolate, cherry, plums, soft tannins
After tasting wines at Wicked Cellars we visited Lombardi’s located on the Everett waterfront. I think Lombardi’s has the best Happy Hour ever. We had a favorites; Roasted garlic and Olive Oil, Peel and Eat Shrimp, Seared Ahi Tuna Carpaccio, etc…
Saturday 9/11/2010 a day of wine tasting and remembrance. We started out the day wine tasting Tranche Cellars at Wicked Cellars, then on to Woodinville! We tasted Elevation Cellars, Davenport Cellars, Des Voigne Cellar and ended at Chateau Ste Michelle.
Tranche Cellars Tasting at Wicked Cellars
Tranche Cellars, located in the former Nicholas Cole Cellars facility in Walla Walla, is the second of three wineries from Michael Corliss, Lauri Darneille, and Kendall Mix. The first was Corliss Estates which had its inaugural release in late 2008. The third winery is RMV Cellars which had its first release this past spring.
Tranche Cellars 2007 Pinot Gris*** off dry, rich, citrus, minerals, fruit, not your typical Pinot Gris
Tranche Cellars 2007 Roussanne-Viognier**** minerals, sliced apples, peach, light oak
Tranche Cellars 2005 Barbera*** :-) chocolate, earth, tobacco, silky oak
Tranche Cellars 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon*** coffee grounds, aged fruit, nice mouth feel
Tranche Cellars 2005 "Slice of Pape" Red Wine, Columbia Valley*** dusky spices, leather, red fruit
Then it was off to the warehouse district wineries and tasting rooms in Woodinville Washington.
