Steppe Cellars is a young winery in the Yakima Valley. Their first vintage was 2005, but their history in the valley starts much earlier. Steppe Cellars is the partnership of Tom and Susan Garrison and Mike and Gabrielle Siebel. Tom and Susan have been farming Riesling grapes since 1981, and Mike and Gabrielle own the cherry orchard next to the winery. It’s a family affair as Susan and Gabrielle are sisters. The winemaker at Steppe Cellars is no newcomer to the wine industry either. Anke Freimuth-Wildman has been involved in the wine industry in Washington since the mid 1990’s
