Wines were judged blind with Kumamoto oysters. Judges chew the oyster well, smell and taste the wine and then look for a clean, crisp finish that doesn't get in the way of the next oyster. They call it the "bliss factor".

This past weekend was great for local wineries with tasting with Sojen Cellars poring at Wicked Cellars in downtown Everett and Port Gardner Bay Winery showcasing their wines at Lombardi’s Everett Marina. Janet and I decided to spend our afternoon at Lombardi’s.

Lombardi’s opened their back room and patio area for the wine tasting.

Saturday was also concert day at “Music at the Marina” sponsored by City of Everett Cultural Arts, Lombardi’s, Inn at Port Gardner and Meyer’s Café. The band this evening was “Cambalache – Hot Salsa.”

The atmosphere is great and I really want to love this place. The service was friendly and fast but we weren't rushed out the door once we had finished our meal.
